Parking

A couple weeks ago I was looking for a parking spot at Stonecrest (where I live and have a parking pass at) and could not find an open spot. I was angry about this because I pay $50 a semester to park at Stonecrest and half the people that were parked there did't have a parking pass. I decided to park at towers, which is right across the road, and I didn't happen to see the private parking sign. The next day when I went to my car, there was a fine for $100 and a boot on my tire. I was highly upset because not only did I have to pay $100, but I had already paid $50 for a Stonecrest parking pass and another $25 for a commuter parking pass on campus. To say the least I was not in a very good mood. I called the Apartment Store and they were no help. They said I still had to pay the fine. I think the parking situation is ridiculous in Slippery Rock. It is always really hard to find a spot anywhere.

  1. Parking is such a mess here. Not only do you park a mile away at the stadium lot if you do live on campus, and then you must move your car to the baseball lot or some obscure spot in the middle of now where. For commuters it seems like a bloody death match to get a spot anywhere. One of the worst spots to park for a commuter I think is in BSB lot, if you have classes on that side of campus, good luck getting a spot. Unless you come at 730 am, it seems impossibe to park at BSB lot. Yet many continue to try and wait ten minutes just sitting there waiting for someone to move there car.

  2. I agree with you courtney. It is really hard to find a parking space here. It is especially hard to find one on campus. I live in Building B and most of the time I have to park by Building F. That is a hike especially when walking in the dark. It is a good thing I live on campus, so I don't have to worried about finding a commuter spot. I hear people complain how they couldn't find one and was almost late to class all the time. I think the campus should provide more parking or do something to solve these issues.
